Handheld cellphone use in a car is extremely dangerous and it’s only getting worse as more and more people continue to text more than talk.

There’s so much more to do in a car these days than in the past. It used to be where you just drove. Then they added AM radios. Then FM. Then air conditioners and power seats and windows. Then tape decks and CD players. Then climate control. Then more information than you really need like MPGs, outside weather. Then navigation systems and DVD players.

With all these distractions, it makes you wonder whether the phones are really the problem.
