Walking through Borders yesterday, this book caught my attention so I picked it up. The author, Debbie Millman, will be a speaker at the FUSE Design Conference that I’ll be attending in a few weeks. 

I sort of cringe at the title of graphic designer even though I do design a lot of graphics for a living. Looking at the names of the well-known designers that Millman interviewed, I’m interested in what they have to say. To me, graphic designer is such a limiting term for people involved in branding and design.

I hope some of these big-name designers talk as much about their business thinking as they do their design thinking? I’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, I’m looking forward to reading this book and hearing Millman speak at the same time. I usually find myself buying a book after I hear an author.
