Do people really miss this? I think it’s kind of like the NHL strike. Even people who followed hockey found something else to do. I am not moved by this strike one bit. Sure, I watch tv, but if there’s no new programming next Fall am I going to lose my mind? No. I’ll read more. I’ll work out more. I’ll do anything…but it won’t be missing any television shows.

Sound harsh? perhaps. It’s just the truth. TV to me is just a tool that promotes the laziness within me. Whether it’s a sitcom, sporting event or drama, there’s nothing that I must watch. In fact, I haven’t recorded anything on a VCR in years and I have no desire to buy a Tivo. 

The more I think about, the more I’m going to think about it next time I jump onto the couch to watch TV when I could be doing something else.
